Paul Pierce, the Boston Celtics’ dynamic small forward, tied the knot on Monday in Los Angeles, after losing game seven in the NBA finals a month ago.
Fellow members of the Big Three, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen as well as Celtics head coach Doc Rivers came to Pierce’s wedding to see him wed longtime girlfriend Julie Landrum, 27, reported the Boston Herald. The couple’s two-year-old daughter served as the flower girl for the ceremony.
The 32-year-old athlete and his new wife held the ceremony at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast, California. Pierce’s wedding was relatively low-key with 80 people on the guest list, compared to the hundreds of people who attended Carmelo Anthony and Lala Vasequez’s wedding two weeks ago.
Pierce recently signed a four-year contract with the Celtics that will bring him a total of $62 million.
