Patrick Chan, famed Canadian figure skater, does have a girlfriend. Her name is Tess Johnson and she’s a relatively famous fashion designer.
She’s also the daughter of his new coach, but Chan insisted to the Toronto Star that he chose his coach before falling in love with her daughter.
Johnson is a graduate of Parsons, The New School for Design in New York City, and went on to win the “24 Hour Catwalk” challenge on the Lifetime Network.
She debuted her first collection at Miami Fashion Week in June 2012 and has shown at events including Nolcha Shopping Event in London and Ottawa Fashion Week.

While attending Parsons, Johnson interned at multiple companies, including Marc Jacobs and in the costuming department for the Broadway musical Wicked.
Her styles have included one based on the flight patterns of starlings and others that feature draping.
“I like to create things by manipulating the fabric. I like to work with my hands,” she told the Ottawa Citizen.
And Johnson herself used to be a figure skater, and designed costumes for the U.S> Figure Skating Championships.
