A tornado in Palm Coast, Florida on Saturday night destroed at least six homes and damaged another at least 171.

A preliminary rating has rated the tornado as an EF1, with winds possibly as high as 110 miles per hour.

The tornado measured 25 to 75 yards wide, the city of Palm Coast said. 

“The heaviest damage is to houses and property in the B Section in the Indian Trails neighborhood, but damage also occurred in the C Section and F Section,” according to the city.

After a tornado warning was issued on Saturday afternoon, the tornado first touched down about 7 p.m.

No injures have been reported but more than 2,000 residents are without power, a city spokeswoman told First Coast News.
