Paige VanZant has her eyes set on a summer return date.
The UFC superstar has been struggling with a broken arm, but she’s hoping that she’ll be back in the octagon in a few months.
VanZant posted a video of herself training Sunday, and captioned it, in part, “I will fight this summer. And I will be in the best shape of my life for my MMA career.”
I really hope she’s back by this summer. There had been some thought that she’d fight in April. That all came crashing down when she injured her arm once again.
The UFC is simply better when she’s out there cracking skulls, and she was coming off a huge win over Rachael Ostovich.
I think we all wanted her to make a quick return and build on the momentum.
Now, it looks like we’ll be waiting at least a few more months, but at least we have a general idea of when she’ll be back.
If she can return and string some wins together, then she’ll be set up nicely as the face of the women’s UFC.
