Green Bay wide receiver Greg Jennings missed practice Tuesday, just two day before the team’s Thursday night showdown with division-rival Chicago, with a groin injury according to an announcement on the NFL’s website.
Jennings suffered the injury Sunday in the team’s 30–22 loss to San Francisco though he ended up with five catches for 34 yards.
The 28-year-old Jennings has been Aaron Rodgers’s favorite target for several years now, averaging just over 1,100 receiving yards per season over the last five years.
Should Jennings not be able to make it, the Packers would probably play more of James Jones and Randall Cobb as the Packers, who won the Super Bowl less than two years ago, try to avoid a dreaded 0-2 start.
