Packers Beat Tampa Bay, Move to 10-0

The Green Bay Packers defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 35-26 Sunday afternoon to move to 10-0—best in the NFL since Indianapolis won their 14 games in 2009.

The Green Bay Packers defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 35-26 Sunday afternoon to move to 10-0—best in the NFL since Indianapolis won their 14 games in 2009.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 23 of 34 passes for 299 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in the win. The 2010 Super Bowl MVP hit wide receiver Jordy Nelson for a 40-yard touchdown pass with 2:55 to go in the game to put it out of reach. Nelson recorded team-highs of six catches (tied with James Starks) for 123 yards and a pair of scores.

Tampa Bay actually outgained the Packers 455-378 but had two turnovers to Green Bay’s one. Buccaneers’ quarterback Josh Freeman threw for 342 yards and a pair of touchdowns but also threw two interceptions. Kellen Winslow had team-highs of nine catches and 132 yards receiving.
