The Oprah Winfrey Network, which launches at noon EST on Saturday, Jan. 1, released its broadcasting schedule on Thursday.
The new 24/7 cable channel, which will launch on what is now the Discovery Health Channel, will feature shows including Ask Oprah’s All Stars, Season 25: Oprah Behind The Scenes, Dr. Phil, The Gayle King Show, and Deliver Me.
Winfrey, who has been planning the network for three years, said on her website that she wants the network to nudge her audience members “to self-discovery, to connecting you to your best self, and to the world.”
“What if I could take every hero who inspired me, every lesson that motivated me, every opportunity that was ever given to me, and give it to you,” Winfrey said, according to The Associated Press.
OWN will be available in about 85 million homes from many television service providers, including Comcast, Cablevision, Time Warner, Cox, Charter, DirecTV, Dish Network, AT&T U-Verse, and Verizon Fios.
“Dear Oprah, I am so pleased that you had the dream and the heart to bring such an inspiration to the airwaves,” a fan known as Talisa40 posted on Winfrey’s website.
Oprah.com offers a channel finder based on the zip code and television service provider with area-specific channel numbers.
