A server at Outback has been fired after slamming a local church that tipped her nothing on an order of more than $700.

Christ Fellowship Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, placed an order of $735 for pickup this past week.

A volunteer from the church went to pick it up but was helped at the restaurant by server Tamlynn Yoder.

“We take the order over the phone, we put the order together, take payment and then take order to the car,” Yoder told the Palm Beach Post. “It’s a lot of work just as much as serving.”

In fact, she said she spent most of her shift preparing the order and only made $18 in tips that day from other orders.

She was so upset over what happened that she went on Facebook and ranted about what had just happened.

One of Yoder’s friends was upset for her friend and called the church to complain. The friend was told that the volunteer didn’t know that a tip was necessary for a pickup order.

Yoder’s week got worse when she went to work the next day and was fired.

The restaurant has a policy about not posting about customers on social media websites.

Yoder, though, has no regrets.

“I feel that we should be allowed to say something, especially to big parties that don’t leave anything, that pay the exact amount,” said Yoder, reported WSVN. “I still feel the same way, and I’d probably still do it the same way today. I wouldn’t change anything.”

Outback not only fired Yoder but gave the church a full refund.

The church posted on Facebook apologizing for the lack of a tip and an official told the Post that they did not want Yoder to be fired for what she said.
