A construction worker from Colorado, Gary Brooks Faulkner, flew to Pakistan in a bid to hunt down Osama bin Laden, but was arrested in the southern part of the country, Pakistani police officials told media on Tuesday.
Faulkner was carrying a pistol, a 40-inch sword, and night-vision equipment and “on a mission to decapitate Bin Laden,” according to officers. He was picked up late Sunday in the forested mountain region of Chitral, the Associated Press reported.
Faulkner told the police that he wanted to cross into the nearby Afghan province of Nuristan because of rumor bin Laden lived there, according to the report.
