Orange Regional Medical Center Offering Free Prostate Cancer Screenings

The Orange Regional Medical Center announced on Aug. 29 that they will be offering free prostate cancer screenings during the week of Sept. 19. The screenings will take place at the Community Health Education Center, 110 Crystal Run Road, Middletown.

Men who fit the following criteria are eligible for the free exam:

1. Have not been under the care of a urologist in the past 5 years

2. Have no personal history of prostate cancer

3. Are between the ages of 40 and 75

The exam consists of a digital rectal exam and a prostate-specific antigen blood test.  Each take about a minute to perform.

Pre-registration must be done by Sept. 12 to schedule an exam. Call the Orange Regional Health Connection at 888-321-6762 to set up an appointment.
