Orange is the Black Season 2--set for a June 6, 2014 release date on Netflix--is adding at least one new character.

That would be Vee, played by Lorraine Toussaint.

Vee is described as “a longtime street tough who ran her own drug business, recruiting children to serve as runners.”

Toussaint said recently that her character upsets the lives of all the inmates.

“Jenji has written one of the more complex characters I’ve ever played, and probably one of the more difficult characters I’ve played,” Toussaint said.

“I think it'll be interesting seeing how this character is received, because Jenji has written a character that plays and enjoys the game, and is incredibly engaging and draws people into her — into the big game and has — I have a great deal of fun.”

In addition, Danielle Brooks (Tasha Jefferson aka Taystee) was promoted to series regular for this season.

All episodes of the season will hit Netflix at the same time, per the video streaming service’s way of doing things.

The release of the second season is highly anticipated by fans.

Other big news includes Laura Prepon being in most of the season when BuzzFeed incorrectly reported that she'd only be in a couple of episodes.

Brooks told fans that the show is an important depiction of life inside prison for women.

“There’s women out there that are like Taystee,” Brooks said to a round of audience applause at PaleyFest 2014, reported The Wrap.

“It’s about telling a true story and giving voice to those that do not have a voice, and I think that’s what we’re all doing.”
