Orange County’s COVID-19 Hospitalizations Decline to 214

SANTA ANA, Calif.—Orange County’s coronavirus hospitalizations declined from 223 to 214 Oct. 9, while the number of COVID patients in intensive care dropped from 47 to 44, according to state figures.

The latest numbers come one day after officials reported 260 new cases of COVID-19 and 12 additional deaths. Ten of those deaths occurred in September, one in August, and the first one was reported for October, according to the Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA).
