It is not too late to bring Christmas cheer to children in need by donating toys or money to the Orange County Fire Authority’s (OCFA) annual toy drive.

The OCFA has partnered with Spark of Love—a toy-collecting campaign that has worked with over 100 non-profit organizations for 29 years—to bring the joy of Christmas to children in the state. So far, the fire department has received 20,911 toys and $14,000 in donations, as of Dec. 23. The 2020 toy drive drew 16,922 toys, along with $30,000 in funds.

Though the last day to donate for this Christmas is Dec. 23, the OCFA continues to welcome toys and donations for next year’s holiday season through the end of the year.

The toys go to several charitable organizations connected to Sparks of Love, OCFA spokesperson Sean Doran said. The monetary funds collected are for purchasing toys for children below 18.

Toy donations will be accepted at any OCFA fire station.
Residents who wish to donate monetary funds to support the toy drive can visit the OCFA website here.
