As the 2023 Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, California, approaches, event organizers are looking to hire over 1,000 seasonal employees to help run the annual festivities, which run from July 14 to mid-August.

The OC Fair and Event Center is seeking individuals ages 16 and up for numerous seasonal and part-time positions including building exhibits, providing customer service, taking tickets, and more. Some year-round jobs are also open for hire.

Other departments including security, janitorial, and parking are also looking to fill their ranks. Jobs come with numerous perks including free admission to the fair, scholarship opportunities, and discounted deals for family and friends.

Teens and college students looking to make extra cash this summer are encouraged to apply, with average wages around $16 an hour and up, according to the center’s online job listings on platforms like Zip Recruiter.

According to organizers, no degree is required to apply.

Applicants ages 17 and under will be required to provide a valid work permit available through their schools, unless they have already graduated from high school.

The fair held its last hiring event on June 3, where organizers held in-person interviews and accepted applications. Organizers say, those who have not yet applied need not worry, as there are plenty of positions still available.
Tickets are on sale now for this year’s fair, as well as the event’s concerts at the Pacific Amphitheater and The Hangar.

The fair will limit daily attendance and require tickets to be purchased online in advance. Its new “Every Day Passport” will provide admission for any day of the fair with no restrictions.
