I’m looking through images of people at the Golden Globes and was thrilled. Half the men were wearing double-breasted suits, and not weird ones but suits that would have been fine for 1940s film noir. The women’s dresses were ballgowns you might have seen in the 1910s. Very few were ridiculous though there were some. Mostly, the dress at the event signals a return to genuine beauty and dignity.
