WEST MIFFLIN, Pennsylvania—Local steelworkers, community leaders and economic experts said President Donald Trump’s announcement Friday, May 23, that a deal was struck between U.S. Steel and Nippon Steel will go down in American history as the most enduring economic “big, beautiful deal” the 47th president has made.
