In December 2023, the Colorado Supreme Court, in a 4-3 decision based on the “insurrection” clause of the 14th Amendment, ruled former President Donald Trump ineligible to appear on Colorado’s 2024 presidential primary ballot. Never mind that Mr. Trump has never been indicted for, let alone convicted of insurrection.
