San Franciscans Turn on Their Celebrity District Attorney

After a whirlwind 9-month love affair with Chesa Boudin, San Franciscans see the writing on the dirtied walls. This near-celebrity District Attorney campaigned last year on reforming our city’s criminal justice system as he pledged to make it fairer and equal. He was narrowly elected in a highly contested race. Barely two months later, the damage began. Jaws dropped as Boudin’s radical policies blew apart San Francisco’s district attorney’s office, leaving victims’ rights in shambles.
