I’ve been out socializing quite a bit recently and noticed something. There is a tendency for people under the age of 40 to be not very good at it. It’s not just a lack of erudition. There is that of course, with the repeated use of verbal tropes of literally and like. We’ll get to that. The problem is actually more fundamental. Many don’t seem to know what conversation is.
