Just over a week ago, the Hong Kong Police and National Security Bureau threatened a foreign national living outside Hong Kong and a London-based, foreign-registered charity with a fine of $13,000 and up to life imprisonment if they didn’t take down their website—run out of the United Kingdom—within 72 hours of receipt of their notification letters.
