The recent election results have given the Democrats much to reflect on. Among the issues facing the party are policies that have been adopted in recent years, such as those emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), which appear to have been met with resistance from voters. Noted historian Stephen Kotkin remarked, “Voters in democracies may not always receive what they want, but they can hold those in power accountable.”
