Now that we’ve begun the new year and can look ahead to 2026, the semi-quincentennial of our nation’s founding, the opportunity to commemorate 250 years of independence stands before us. During his campaign, President Donald Trump articulated an ambitious vision for this milestone: a yearlong celebration titled “Salute to America 250,” replete with patriotic festivities and innovative ways to honor the unique tapestry of America’s states and its people.
