Digital media has wrecked our sense of time. We scroll and scroll for the next dopamine hit. We can barely pay attention enough to read a book in silence. Even in movie theaters, people are surreptitiously looking at their phones. Here we have a high-dopamine massive screen in front of us and that is not even enough: people have to sneak a look.
