To many Californians, the word “chemical” is terrifying. Such fears legitimized tyrannical agencies protecting them from awful things hiding in air, water, and soil.

California’s Chemistry Police

California hunts down all possible dangers of chemicals through its Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), and Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR).
