One Killed, 2 Injured in Head-On Collision in Brea

BREA, Calif.—One person was killed and two were injured in a two-vehicle collision March 20 evening in Brea.

The collision was reported at 8:01 p.m. and Brea Police Department officers responded to Carbon Canyon Road, east of Olinda Village, where they learned the vehicles were involved in a head-on collision, according to the Brea Police Department.

The driver of one vehicle sustained major injuries and died at the scene and the driver and a passenger in the other vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to two hospitals for treatment, police said.

The department’s Traffic Division is investigating the cause of the collision and anyone with information regarding it was asked to call Sgt. Edgar Padilla at 714-671-4475.
