Once Upon a Time season 4 is set to start on Sunday night but some viewers forget the events of season 3, which was quite a whirlwind.
The season was recently added to Netflix but for those who just want a quick recap...
Neverland
Henry gets into some trouble after his captors Greg and Tamara are killed. Henry meets up with Peter Pan, who keeps him away from his family, trying to get him to believe that he’s the only one who has the capability to save Neverland.
Emma, Snow White, Prince Charming, Regina, Rumpelstiltskin, and Captain Hook go in a group to Neverland to save Henry.
Gold splits off to search by himself but the larger group gets help from Tinker Bell, and Ariel, who swims back and forth between the land and Storybrooke.
Neal was in the Enchanted Forest of the past, being tended to by Aurora, Phillip, and Mulan. They and Robin Hood help him travel to Neverland to locate Emma, but Peter Pan captures him.
Emma and the group retrieve Neal at the Echo Caves, where everyone revealed their darkest secrets, including Hook revealing his love for Emma.
After a bunch of twists and turns, the group heads back to Storybrooke on the Jolly Roger with Henry in tow--but Pan inhabited the body unbeknownst to the group.
Rumple eventually summons his dagger, killing both himself and Pan.
Emma and Henry split town before the curse reaches them with the help of Regina, causing their memories of life there to be replaced.
The larger group minus the mother and son work together to try to restore things to how they were, with Hook and Regina becoming friends, Neal and Belle teaming up, and Hook leaving to kill Blackbeard and get the Jolly Roger back.
Also, the Wicked Witch of the West is introduced as Regina’s half-sister.

Back in the present day, Emma is close to getting married to a man named Walsh while living in New York City in Henry. Hook arrives to try to jog Emma’s memories and finally persuades her after getting her to drink a potion that restores them.
Emma and Henry return to Storybrooke, where Zelena has been plotting to take Snow White’s unborn baby.
Neal dies because he must be separated from Mr. Gold, in whom he’s trapped, and Emma does it. Emma later saves Hook by kissing him, but she loses her magic in the process. Zelena steals Mary Margaret’s newborn son but Regina ultimately defeats her. Rumpelstiltskin kills Zelena in revenge for his son Neal’s death.
Late in the season, a time travel spell takes Emma and Hook back to the Enchanted Forest, where they free Maid Marian from Regina, and take her to the present day, where Belle and Rumple are married. Emma and Hook also brought back the urn from Rumple’s vault, which contains Elsa, from “Frozen.”
