The 26-year-old actress, who has starred on the show since 2007, plays Dr. Remy Hadley, also known as Thirteen.
“I am coming back to House. This season, as a matter of fact. It is a done deal,” Wilde told Entertainment Weekly on Thursday at the 19th Annual BAFTA LA Britannia Awards in Los Angeles.
In the finale of season 6, Thirteen requested a leave of absence for personal reasons. Wilde had picked up roles in Tron and Cowboys and Aliens.
Currently, she is working on The Change Up with Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman.
Wilde is excited about the upcoming storylines for her character, she told Entertainment Weekly.
“They have it all worked out and the viewers will find out where she went and why she left. I think it is an interesting progression for her,” she said.
“Thirteen has been through a lot so it has to be escalated. She has Huntington’s. She had a brain tumor and went blind. They are really taking some big risks this year, which is exciting.”
House M.D. is critically acclaimed and is among the United States’ top-ten rated shows. In 2008, it was the most watched television program internationally.
