In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, director Oliver Stone discusses the upcoming sequel to his famed 1987 film, Wall Street.

Stone explains the impetus for doing a second film saying, “Why did I go back? Because it’s important. It’s the collapse of capitalism and the collapse of our society ... Our way of life is going to change.”

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps features Michael Douglas reprising his role as Gordon Gekko, a now disgraced insider trader trying to get back in the game. The film also stars the young Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf. Stone’s second look at the financial world hits theaters April 23.
