An Ohio man called 911 and told the dispatcher that he killed his mother and girlfriend, it was reported. However, there are conflicting reports that he was threatening to kill his mother rather than he already killing  her, prompting police to surround the man’s apartment complex.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported Tuesday afternoon that the man, whose name was not released, was arrested in Mason at the Cambridge Park Apartments and police closed down a nearby street.

Police have surrounded the home. Officials are now trying to find out if the call was a hoax or not, according to the Mason Buzz website.

Radio dispatchers in Warren County told the paper that “he said both are dead and then he hung up.”

Sheriff’s deputies set up a command post outside the apartment building and traffic was sealed off.
