Yogi Bear, the CGI-animated/live action movie, has seen its official trailer released over the weekend on the Internet.

The movie, which will be presented in 3D, features Dan Akroyd as the voice of Yogi and Justin Timberlake as the voice of Boo Boo, is slated to hit theaters just before Christmas on Dec. 17.

The two animated bears as well as Ranger Smith will have to save Jellystone Park their beloved home as Mayor Brown has decided to shut it down.

Created by Hanna-Barbera Productions, Yogi made his debut back in 1958 on the Huckleberry Hound show.

As a result Hanna-Barbera made a spin-off cartoon program with Yogi and his sidekick Boo Boo, detailing their adventures in trying to steal “pick-a-nic” baskets from unsuspecting campers. Looking at the trailer, the film looks like it will continue onward with that tradition.

The film will be directed by Eric Brevig, who directed Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Anna Faris will play the part of a documentary filmmaker, making a movie about Yogi, and Tom Cavanagh will play the part of Ranger Smith.
