The hype has been building and now it is official. Original Guns N Roses’ Axl Rose (singer), Slash (guitarist), and Duff McKagan (bassist) will share the same stage at this year’s Coachella Music And Arts Festival, which is set to take place on the weekends April 15-17 and April 22-24 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

For confirmation’s sake, Rose posted the following (below) on his Twitter. Rose and Slash also posted identical images on their Facebook pages featuring the Guns N’ Roses logo against a desert, Coachella backdrop.

It is a reunion over 20 years coming. The last time the original lineup played together was July 17, 1993 at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires. Rose and Slash’s relationship has been strained in the two decades that followed, though Slash mentioned last summer that the two have since reconciled.

Speaking of the original lineup, that is the only question that has yet to be answered. It is still unknown whether guitarist Izzy Stradlin, or drummer Steven Adler will participate in the show. Fans were hoping singer Rose would be able to shed light on this on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show, but his appearance on the show tonight has been canceled.
