Obama forgot to salute: President Barack Obama moved past a Marine as he boarded Marine One on Friday morning.
After realizing his mistake, Obama came back down the stairs to the helicopter and spoke with the Marine, shaking his hand. It’s not clear what Obama says to the Marine but a faint smile appears on the Marine’s face. Obama then went back up the steps. He didn’t salute at all.
Obama usually salutes Marines as he boards Marine One, according to ABC.
He was on his way to speak at a graduation ceremony at the U.S. Naval Academy in Maryland.
