Tampa Bay Rays v New York Yankees

The Oakland A’s have agreed to a one-year deal with former Yankee Bartolo Colon, according to a report on MLB.com

Colon, who will turn 39 in May, went 8-10 last year with an ERA of 4.00 in the Bronx, his only season with the Yankees.

The former Cy Young award winner’s deal is believed to be worth $2 million and may include a signing bonus. According to the report, the deal has not yet been confirmed by Oakland.

Colon originally came up with the Indians and spent six seasons there before being dealt to Montreal in a lopsided deal that netted the Indians young prospects Cliff Lee, Brandon Phillips, and Grady Sizemore.

Colon soon moved to Anaheim where we won the 2005 Cy Young Award with a 20-8 record and a 3.48 ERA.

Colon then missed the 2010 season before signing a deal with New York last offseason.
