The First Church of God in Christ caught on fire in Oakland near the West Oakland BART station on Monday, it was reported.

ABC-7 reported that the fire, which is visible from Interstate 880, is three alarms.

The church is located at 1451 8th Street.

On Twitter, a number of people posted images of the fire and smoke.

Fire crews are responding to the blaze, reported InsideBayArea.com.

Eighth Street was shut down in both directions.

There are no reports of injuries or what caused the blaze, reported KCBS radio.
