Fifty delegates from 11 Latin American countries will spend next week getting acquainted with what New York City has to offer them. The delegates represent nearly 40 tech companies.

LatAm to NYC is a program hosted by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC). The program was born after organizers noticed that nearly half the international delegates at the last World to NYC in February came from firms based in Latin America.

The program welcomes senior executives and CEOs of companies looking to establish themselves in NYC over the next 6–12 months, with LatAm to NYC having a media and technology focus.

The delegates are here Aug. 6–10, and have a busy schedule lined up, including NY Tech Meetup, company tours, panel discussions, lectures, and networking events.

A series of workshops will help the participants understand the New York scene and learn what they need to know to create a successful transition to doing business in the city.
