Passersby at Citi Bike stations in New York City this week may get some free chocolate, cheese, and bike rides, compliments of Switzerland.

Reps will be stationed at Citi Bike docks Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week, handing out the goodies plus postcards with ride codes for bike rental programs across North America: Citi Bike in New York and Jersey City, Hubway in downtown Boston, Divvy  in Chicago, Ford GoBike in the Bay Area, and Bixi in Montreal.

Receiving a postcard also gets the recipient an entry into a sweepstakes for a trip to Switzerland.

And in case you miss its promotion in person, you can always send a friend an online postcard with the same ride deal.
Schedule: Wednesday at 36th Street and Broadway, Thursday at Grand Army Plaza, and Friday at Central Park South and Sixth Avenue.
“Switzerland isn’t just about skiing and hiking in the Alps,” said Alex Herrmann, director of North America Switzerland Tourism, in a statement. “Switzerland offers 5,600 miles of cycling routes and 2,800 miles of mountain biking trails as part of a program called SwitzerlandMobility. Cyclists can also enjoy a group of Swiss hotels specializing in hosting travelers with bicycles. For any bike rider looking for their next vacation, Switzerland’s rolling hills, mighty peaks, and modern cities ought to be at the top of the list.”
