NEW YORK—Is Black Friday 2014 worth crossing an ocean for? It was for Patricia and Monica Schiller. They came from Germany for a week just for the sales. Patricia got a pullover from GAP for $25. Normally it would have been $50, but GAP is up to 50 percent off on Black Friday.

Check out GAP’s Black Friday lineup.

Next in line was Footlocker. Nike sneakers are very popular in Germany, but they cost at least $200 (converted from Euros). Today she could get them on sale for $79.

ALDO was also half-off today, Schiller said. And it doesn’t even have stores in Germany.

Check out what ALDO offers for half the price.

The last but not the least–Victoria’s Secret. Schiller loved it, as she considers the brand high in quality and, due to Black Friday, it was also 50 percent cheaper.
