NEW YORK—The threats and opportunities posed to multinationals by the present wave of Chinese globalization will be discussed at a panel event on Oct. 8 in New York City. The Golden Networking group is also hosting speakers who will address the challenges facing Chinese companies now expanding abroad and how to overcome the obstacles.

The China Leaders Forum 2009 was organized by Golden Networking founder Edgar Perez, who said he expects around 100 executives to attend. He said there will be three panel discussions as well as the opportunity to connect with other professionals. The second panel will give participants a chance to discuss human rights and ethics of doing business in China.

The forum will feature Harry Edelson, chairman and chief executive officer of China Opportunity Acquisition Corp., as keynote speaker, and experienced executives and experts from leading organizations such as General Electric Co. China, McGovernWang, Association for Asian Research, Amherst Partners, Beyondbond, InterChina Consulting, Kurt Salmon Associates and Columbia Business School, among others.

The event will be held at the Taj in Manhattan from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information see goldennetworking.com.
