A woman in North Carolina was arrested the night of March 10 for stealing an ambulance from Carolinas Medical Center, authorities said.

According to WCNC-TV, security cameras captured 36-year-old Autumn Prieschi climbing up behind the wheel of ambulance #47 around 10 p.m.

The ambulance, which was empty at the time, had a GPS tracker that allowed the police to intervene and stop it, reported Fox 8.

Sources told WCNC that the woman was in perfect condition, she wasn’t drugged or mentally unstable—she just simply needed a ride.

They saw her lingering near the emergency entrance but did not put two and two together. Fortunately, MEDIC says her erratic behavior did not cause any disruption since there were 30 trucks covering the Charlotte area at the time.

According to the Daily Mail, a spokesman for MEDIC says crews usually leave their keys in their trucks and leave them running so they can get to an emergency in a timely manner.

Prieschi was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and trespassing.
