Norman Reedus, the actor who plays Daryl Dixon on “The Walking Dead,” talked about his character and the show as well as his toughest scene.

“I came up for the pilot season... I came to know about ‘The Walking Dead’ I was like what the heck is this,” he said of hearing about the show early on, according to an interview with Variety.

Reedus said the hardest scenes in the show involve his character’s brother’s death because it reminds him of his deceased father.

“The hardest on ‘The Walking Dead’ or one of them was killing my brother and I always go back to that... I am not like classically trained or anything, but I always go back to my dad and dad and dad,” he said. “And I think reading that script to kill my brother and all that, I remember reading and going, ‘Oh, this day is gonna stink, this is gonna be such a bad day.”

A few days ago, Reedus also talked about his strangest fan encounter.

“I blew my breath into a plastic bottle and sent it to Tokyo,” he said in a video.

Season 5 of “The Walking Dead” will premiere October 2014 on AMC.

Recently, there were rumors that Reedus died in a car crash, which obviously aren’t true. About 10 days ago, the rumors popped up on Facebook and Twitter, but they had a disclaimer at the bottom saying a few thousand people were “trolled” by the fake report. Reedus has been tweeting the whole time.
