Noah Lis competed on “The Voice” beginning on Tuesday night.
The Palmer, Mass. resident chose to be mentored by country star Blake Shelton.
“I am trying to bring the old jazz and pop standards,” Lis told Mass Live before his performance.
He performed Billy Paul’s “Me and Mrs. Jones.”
Adam Levine, singer for Maroon 5, tried to get Lis on his team, but Lis ultimately chose Shelton.
“I am so excited to be on Team Blake,” Lis said.
He’s a senior at Westfield State University who regularly performs.
