No “Friends” reunion: The co-creator for the “Friends” sit-com said there is absolutely no reunion show involving the original six members.

There have been rumors about a potential reunion involving the original characters, Rachel, Monica, Ross, Joey, Phoebe, and Chandler.

But Marta Kauffman, who helped created the smash hit series, said those reports and rumors were unsubstantiated.

She told E! News on Wednesday: “I’m going to clear this up right now. No! Not happening.”

“‘Friends’ was about that time in your life when your friends are your family and once you have a family, there’s no need anymore,“ she said. ”I’d rather people go ‘Oh Please, Please!’ Than ‘Oh, I can’t believe you did that. It was horrible’,” she added.

The rumor appears to have been started via the Starmedia.us website, which generated more than 300,000 “likes” on Facebook.

On Wednesday, NBC confirmed that there will be no new “Friends,” according to CBS News. And Warner Bros. also confirmed to the website Zap2it that there is nothing planned for the show.

Fox News reported that there was even a Photoshopped “Friends” poster circulating around the Internet, which claims there will be a reunion around Thanksgiving 2014.
