On April 26, the Chinese Communist regime’s propaganda machine, published an article defaming New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV) and its first “Global Chinese Dance Competition,” due to be held May 20-27, 2007 in New York City.
The article quoted an official calling for a Chinese dancer to disrupt and hinder the competition. The Epoch Times journalist interviewed Jin Zhong, Editor-in-Chief of Open Magazine in Hong Kong who commented that this was nothing new in the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) consistent means of suppression.
Jin said the success of the NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular is well-known throughout the international community. Both western and eastern audiences have been deeply touched by the outstanding performances this year. The cultural and artistic activities held by NTDTV, such as the Spectacular and the Global Chinese Dance Competition are a profound and significant revival of genuine Chinese culture. NTDTV'S spreading of traditional Chinese culture has brought a new Chinese renaissance to the global stage.
The communist regime’s export of its 60 years of communist party culture is masked with hypocrisy, lies, immorality and violence. These propaganda shows, can only fail when compared to NTDTV'S genuine Chinese culture. So the regime launched the desperate attack on NTDTV.
Jin commented “Under the continual and powerful successes of the NTDTV shows, the communist regime, at its wit end, can only play the same old tune, and that is, trying to deceive people through transparent propaganda. These were the same tactics used by former regime leader Jiang Zemin in launching the persecution of Falun Gong. In this instance the CCP is trying to intimidate and threaten people in artistic circles.” Jin said.
During this 2007 Chinese New Year, Jin watched the Chinese New Year Spectacular in Radio City, New York City. He said, “The show was brilliant and successful. I saw that both Chinese people and westerners were very fond of it. They were deeply touched. The show conveyed the spirit of truthfulness, compassion, and beauty. The show embodied all that was good and righteous while highlighting the morality of traditional Chinese culture and revealing the truth of ‘good will be rewarded and evil will meet retribution’. The show re-established the orthodox Chinese culture and the pure, lofty, and beautiful elements [in the show] have greatly benefited people. They will purify the soul of the audiences and elevate human morality.
“The Chinese Communist party (CCP) is responsible for the total destruction of all traditional Chinese culture in the last 60 years. Doing such evil involved huge manpower and resources to spread the CCP’s ideology of class struggles and hatred… It was a large-scale brainwashing. It poisoned a lot of young people to pave the way for the Cultural Revolution,” Jin said.
“During the appalling and unprecedented Cultural Revolution, countless families were destroyed and a large number of people died of unnatural causes. People were brutally persecuted, from intellectuals to common citizens. Many teenagers served in the Red Guards at that time. They became the communist regime’s vicious thugs. This is one typical example of how the communist party culture poisoned the Chinese people, and these kinds of examples are countless. Today, the so-called artistic performances produced by the communist regime’s party culture are permeated by its ideology of hatred, violence, immorality, and vulgar fun,” Jin said.
In conclusion Jin said that he believed that the Global Chinese Dance Competition will succeed and will start a trend of producing and appreciating Chinese Classical Dance on the international scene.
“The regime’s attacks are more and more hysterical these days but less and less powerful. It’s impossible for it to achieve its goal of disturbing NTDTV. It only shows the bankruptcy of the CCP’s party culture. All the people who watched the Spectacular, and those who watch the Global Chinese Dance Competition, will be able to discern good from evil and right from wrong when facing the facts,” Jin said.
