Dear volunteers at the Service Center for Quitting the CCP of The Epoch Times,

Greetings!

I am an ordinary person from Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. Not being a Falun Gong practitioner and with very little knowledge about it, I used to think Falun Gong was a simple form of qigong that combines movements and meditation suitable only for senior citizens. I did not even know that in China there had been about 100 million Falun Gong practitioners, including college students, graduate students, university teachers, scientific researchers, military officers and government officials.

Because I had already learned how peaceful the practitioners were, when Chinese authorities mislabeled the Falun Gong’s April 25 appeal as “besieging Zhongnanhai,” I thought the authorities fabricated lies to defame the group.

When the “Tiananmen Square self-immolation” incident occurred, within hours the Chinese authorities flooded the state-run media with grisly photos of the event, claiming the self-immolators were Falun Gong practitioners. I raised the questions about why police on Tiananmen Square were carrying numerous fire extinguishers, which were used to put out the fires of the self-immolators almost immediately, and why the authorities let police shoot the whole event up-close with a video camera, without stopping it.

Inside China, however, where state-run media was saturated with programs accusing the Falun Gong teachings of causing the tragedy, the incident became a key tool for Chinese authorities to bend public opinion against Falun Gong. The “self-immolation” infuriated a misled public whose anger, over time, was directed toward the group.

I gradually came to believe the self-immolation could be real because I knew that people sometimes go awry practicing qigong. In addition, in view of the monks in Vietnam and India setting themselves on fire in public to protest their governments’ religious persecution, I thought it would not be entirely impossible for the same thing to happen in China.

I had been deceived under the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s brainwashing educational system since birth. I had been exposed to its propaganda on TVs and movies for decades and had very little sense of the concepts of democracy, human rights or freedom. During that time I could not understand why Falun Gong practitioners, including my work colleagues, would go to Tiananmen Square to unfold banners and clarify the facts about Falun Gong and expose the CCP’s lies to the people.

I rarely talked about Falun Gong at work or at home. Occasionally, I listened to friends who had read Falun Gong truth-clarification materials saying that the Tiananmen self-immolation was fully staged. But I did not believe it because I was also still being exposed to the CCP’s deceiving media. It never occurred to me that the Chinese government could have made up such a big lie. I had no idea about the nearly ten long years of brutal persecution and genocide that Falun Gong practitioners have been subjected to in China. In fact, very few people in the country knew about the persecution.

By chance I had watched the Columbus International Film Festival award-winning movie “False Fire” and finally understood the so-called Tiananmen self-immolation was indeed an obscene deception. I was shocked, enraged and sad. I was not prepared to learn that the CCP led by Jiang Zemin was shameless and despicable to this extent. Yet, Jiang was such an idiot to have done something this stupid in today’s Internet-connected world.

Later on I had the fortune to obtain the software to break through the Internet blockade in China and read the book “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” by The Epoch Times and “Who is New China” by Xin Haonian. It was not until then that I came to know that the CCP’s entire history was based and built on lies and deceptions, being bloody, shameless and full of terrorism.

Having read the “Nine Commentaries” and “Disintegrating Communist Party Culture” by The Epoch Times, decades of the brainwashing in me through Communist ideological indoctrination was gone in hours. I regained my human conscience and judgments of right from wrong.

I realized that Falun Gong practitioners were truly truthful, compassionate and forbearing, and that the CCP was the biggest cult in the world. When I learned of the CCP’s atrocious cruelties of harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners and burning their remains in the Sujiatun concentration camp in Shenyang City of Heilongjiang Province, I knew that heavenly destruction of the CCP is a historic inevitability.

Now, I solemnly declare to quit the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers that are associated to the CCP, and have my beast mark erased.

For a new democratic China, more importantly, for our generation and our decedents not to be systematically persecuted like the Falun Gong practitioners have experienced and suffered under the communist regime’s rule since July 20, 1999, let us summon indispensable courage to automatically join the team of volunteers to promote the “Nine Commentaries,” helping more people realize the CCP’s evil nature and separate themselves from it.
