Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan Gets Sick, Enters Hospital in London

|Updated:

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has become ill while in London for a business meeting and has entered a hospital for treatment.

The sickness is not serious, says a spokesman.

“The Presidency wishes to assure all Nigerians that President Jonathan’s condition is nothing serious,” Reuben Abati, an aide, told BBC.

Jonathan, 56, was getting “precautionary” medical attention, he added.

Jonathan was made president in 2010 after the president died. Jonathan was vice president at the time.
