New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks was downgraded from “questionable” to “out” on Wednesday for Thursday night’s game against Carolina, according to a report on the team’s website.

The 24-year-old Nicks, who was just named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Week after catching 10 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown against the Buccaneers, has a surgically-repaired right foot that was stepped on late in the game. Nicks had been held out of practice this week and did not travel with the team to Charlotte.

The two-time 1,000-yard receiver Nicks is not the only wideout that will be out for the Giants as Domenik Hixon suffered a concussion in the same game.

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw and tackle David Diehl are also out for the Carolina game. Andre Brown is expected to fill Bradshaw’s shoes while Sean Locklear will play right tackle and Will Beatty will be at left tackle.
