Not much news has come out about the Newsroom season 3 since it was announced, until now.
A new update comes from Kelen Coleman, who is better known as Lisa. Lisa dated Jim on the show and is also Maggie’s roommate.
She told a fan via Twitter that filming starts in April.
She also revealed that the “main 8” are back. That would likely refer to Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels), Mackenzie McHale (Emily Mortimer), Jim Harper (John Gallagher Jr.), Maggie Jordan (Alison Pill), Don Keefer (Thomas Sadoski), Neal Sampat (Dev Patel), Sloan Sabbith (Olivia Munn), ad Charlie Skinner (Sam Waterston).
Other regular members of the cast are probably going to be part of at least some of the season, including some other Newsroom staffers such as Gary Cooper (Chris Chalk), and the Lansings (Chris Messina as Reese and Jane Fonda as Leona).
Hallie Shea (Grace Gummer), Jim’s girlfriend, will probably appear as well.
There’s no word on a specific release date but it’s supposed to be sometime this fall.
Also, the third season is the last season for the HBO show.
