A calf was born last week on a Texas ranch with a face that looks just like KISS rocker Gene Simmons in his famous face paint. The calf was born July 28 in Kerrville, Texas.
A photo of the calf was posted a day after its birth to Hill Country Visitor’s Facebook page. Hill Country Visitor is a tourism portal for Texas Hill Country, the region where Genie the calf was born. So far the photo has received over 1,000 likes, almost 1,000 shares, and over 100 comments.
The ranch where the calf was born is owned by the family of a worker at the local Cowboy Steak House. “Gene Simmons, you are Cordially invited to Cowboy Steak House in Kerrville, Texas. Let’s have a Charity Event where with you and Genie!” the tourism company stated in a post.
The photo received a ton of publicity from the media. The Twitter account of Gene Simmons has even shared one the stories, finding other animals that resemble him in his signature face paint.
Gene Simmons and the members of KISS have been performing since the early 1970s. According to the band’s website, they’ve put out 44 albums and sold more than 100 million copies worldwide. Besides his music, Simmons is also known for his TV show “Gene Simmons Family Jewels,” a reality show that ran for seven seasons on the A&E network.
