NEW YORK—The police department called in a request to cut power to a portion of the B/Q subway line in Brooklyn as they continued a search for one, possibly two, kittens.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) confirmed that a request to cut power was made at 11:06 a.m.  Service between DeKalb Ave. and Stillwell Ave. was suspended and by 12:30 p.m. the suspension extended to the Brighton Beach stop.

According to an MTA spokesperson, the police are still searching for the kittens.
