NEW YORK—A power outage caused subway trains across the city to halt, some for more than half an hour, according to two station agents.
The trains are running now, though with “significant delays,” one said.
Kevin Ortiz, a spokesperson with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which manages the subway system, said a power failure affected some spots for a short time, but confirmed everything is running now. He said there are now “scattered delays, minor delays.”
An Epoch Times reporter in upper Manhattan reports that some of the electronic signs—which typically show how close the next trains are—are still not working correctly at the stations at the 181 Street and 191 Street stations on the 1 line, and the 168 Street station, which has the 1 line, as well as the A/C lines.
